Elizabeth II; Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor; was born on 21 April 1926. Elizabeth II is the Queen of the United Kingdom including the Commonwealth realms. Her reign began on February 6, 1952 and still reigns now in 2020.

Forever have I been fascinated with history and her majesty and her family, the monarchs is part of a long standing part of history. In 2012 they celebrated her Diamond Jubilee which marked 60 years on the throne. She has surpassed her great-great grandmother Queen Victoria to become the longest lived British monarch.

I picked this quote from her majesty because I do believe she has had a lot of courage in her lifetime and continues to show this courage. What good advice it is to follow that you don’t let life consume you or trample you down. One needs to have the courage to face each day and make the best of it. I feel everyone should take this advice to heart with all that is going on worldwide with the corona-virus pandemic because I do fear that the future is uncertain and we will need that courage to continue on.
