Hedy Lamarr Once Said…

Hedy Lamarr was born Hedwig Eva Maria Kiesler on November 9, 1914 and died January 19, 2000. Hedy was an Austrian-American actress, inventor, and film producer. Little known fact about Hedy is that she was co-inventor of the frequency-hopping spread spectrum which is part of the early working for today’s cell phone use and wireless technology.

All creative people want to do the unexpected. – Hedy Lamarr

This is something that drives me as a creative person is I want to do and tend to do what people don’t expect me to do. It keeps people guessing.

I’m a sworn enemy of convention. I despite the conventional in anything, even the arts. I paint canvasses on the floor and drove one art teacher out of his mind. But that’s just the way I paint best. – Hedy Lamarr

I’m also highly unconventional with the way I do things and process things. I’m not saying I don’t do any conventional ways but I tend to try whatever works and usually have to think outside the box to try to fix a problem or create something new. I think most creative people are unconventional and unpredictable and that’s what drives others around us crazy.
